About Me

Meet Sina, founder and tutor at MathHub.

Welcome to MathHub. My name is Sina, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence, clarity, and strong problem-solving skills in mathematics.

I completed my studies in Mathematics and Economics at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I developed a deep understanding of both theoretical and applied math. My academic background allows me to connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications, making learning more meaningful and practical for students.

Over the years, I have gained extensive tutoring experience working with a variety of well-established educational organizations, including PD Plus, Tutor Doctor, Sealy, and Sylvan Tutoring. Through these roles, I have worked with students across different grade levels, learning styles, and academic goals. This experience has helped me refine my ability to adapt my teaching methods to each individual student, whether they need help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead.

My approach to tutoring focuses on more than just getting the right answer. I emphasize building a strong foundation, improving critical thinking skills, and helping students understand the "why" behind each concept. I believe that when students truly understand the material, they become more independent and confident learners.

I have experience teaching a wide range of topics, including foundational arithmetic, algebra, functions, calculus, and introductory economics. I also support students with test preparation, homework help, and long-term academic improvement. My sessions are structured but flexible, ensuring that each student's specific needs and goals are always the priority.

At MathHub, my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically. Every student has the ability to succeed in math with the right guidance, and I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.
